The Only Scarlett Snow

Okay perhaps I was withholding in my first post regarding my reasons for creating a blog. Yes I like to hear myself talk. But I also needed a place to resolve some discrepancies; namely imposters <- copiers, get it? Yes I'm funny sometimes. Please save your applause until the end.
Bad jokes aside, it's a serious subject. There's an old saying that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But for me it's not so flattering when my imposters are always so decidedly second rate. While none have been worthy of personally addressing, I zealously protect my intellectual property and I always take action to address infringement. Setting aside how much copying hurts my feelings (yes I'm sensitive)- I recognize how it affects those I've met and those hoping to meet. Please allow me to clarify once and for all.
* I shoot my own photographs. I designed and manage my own webpage. I author everything I write. I even create some of my own lingerie. This may say something about my personality, err a cheap perfectionist? I'll let you come up with a more flattering adjective.
* I've worked very hard not to be generic, particularly in my photos. Acknowledging that it is incredibly difficult given the privacy and discretion of this secret world- we're quite limited when we don't show our faces. Still my photoshoots are always my own original ideas, and occasionally my ideas will be poorly recreated.
* While I began watermarking my photos with "TheScarlettSnow" unobtrusively in the corners, I quickly learned that plagiarists would simply crop them out. This forced me to begin making larger watermarks that cannot easily be cropped out in the center of my photos.
* I have never posted on backpage or craigslist- truly I don't know how to figure those sites out. This means that if you see an ad on those websites, it's not me and you'll be disappointed.
* Likewise if you see an ad using my photos, claiming to be me, and listing a phone number- again it's not me. I have never posted my phone number publicly. So if you see a phone number then it's not me.
* I write everything myself. Apparently I must be quite good to "inspire" people to steal from me. Occasionally my writing is copy & pasted verbatim onto another website. This really upsets me, more than the photo thieves actually. My writings are personal, so when they are stolen it feels like a personal attack.
* ,) is my interpretation of the winky face- though I realize I cannot enforce it ,(
* If you ever come across a Scarlett imposter, please let me know, I'll be forever grateful.
* While I do not wish to do it, I am considering making my website password protected.
* If you find me somewhere online, the surest way to know it is really REALLY me, is to contact me through my website www.thescarlettsnow.com or to email me directly at the.scarlett.snow@gmail.com .
* If I were you, I'd want to be me too.
Okay snarky remark aside, I think that's about it. How funny would it be if someone copied this!! I guess I must be doing something right, right? I apologize for any and all confusion.
