The Seductress Seduced

From my tenure as Scarlett Snow, I find few things that make me blush. But a man after my own heart, Francis Picabia, somehow manages to do the impossible.

On an unseasonably warm November night, I arrived at MoMA for a members only preview of the latest major exhibition and an evening reception. The artist? Francis Picabia. The salacious shape shifter set the standard for artistic experimentation and exploration. I found the subtle and sometimes not so subtle erotic portrayal of the female form simply hypnotizing. It can be all too easy to fall into our comfortable, familiar habits. And while the old expression, “Don’t fix what isn’t broken” does contain some truths, it does contribute to complacency and tunnel vision. I know what I like and I know what gets me off. And whether it’s for convenience, comfort or both- it can get in the way of trying new things. So perhaps we can all take something away from Picabia, a man capable of seducing even me- even if just for an evening ,) .

TLDR; "Our heads are round so our thoughts can change direction."
